Church Youth Trips are lots of fun and can be a great ministry tool. These trips and events teach our youth that you can have fun as Christians with your fellow Christians, without drinking or drugs or the corrupting things of the world.
The key thing to remember when planning any church activity is that it has to go back to the Gospel. Every time you have those kids together, you must remind them of why we as a church gather together -- Jesus Christ. A devotional or message from the pastor is a good way to start each trip because it reminds the youth that they and their actions are a reflection of the church (and therefore Jesus, himself).
At the end of the trip, bring everyone together to reflect on the devotion or message and how it relates to their day. And, always thank God for what He blessed you with that day. Asking for youth volunteers to say a closing prayer is a great way to engage your youth and help them take a greater role in your church.
